The Volkswagen plans to add one more SUV in the Volkswagen family named Volkswagen T-Roc. As its name suggests this compact crossover will “Rock” in the road. It will be very suitable for driving in different conditions and terrains. Having first featured back in 2014 at the Geneva Auto Show, this T–Roc concept is yet to be released and might find its way in showrooms next year. Although this is a smaller compared to the Touareg model, it has great features. Below, we discuss some of its specs:
Volkswagen T–Roc – Beautiful Exterior and Interior:
According to spy shots, the Volkswagen T–Roc’s exterior is beautiful. Its front grille is well designed and will have the black trim strip over it. You will easily spot the large holes and a Volkswagen-logo at the center. This SUV will additionally feature dual LED headlights that will be slim and aggressive. You will spot fog lamps just beneath the headlamps, which will also feature LED-turn indicators. A movable camera will also be fit below the fog lamp; this camera will function when the vehicle uses the off-road mode. When it comes to the weight, the SUV will be approximately 1.4 tons and will be fit with 19-inch alloy wheels.
The Volkswagen T–Roc will have great components in its interior. This includes -a leather dashboard and a 12.3 inches touch-screen infotainment system with voice and gesture control. Its seats will be fitted with the leather material making the passengers feel comfortable and the steering wheel will be wrapped in leather too. Some of the standard interior features include and much more. Moreover, rear-seat passengers will enjoy the surf at their comfort using a tablet. This is because the center-console will be designed as a tablet. The navigation, audio system, cruise control, indicators and climate control functions will be automated in this T-Roc SUV.
Volkswagen T–Roc – Under the Hood:
Under the hood, we expect great performance. The Volkswagen T–Roc will be armed with a 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine that will make generate 181 hp and 280 feet pound of torque. This SUV will offer three different driving modes. Its includes street mode, off-road mode and snow mode. The turbodiesel engine will be paired with a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission system which is assembled from Volkswagen’s general parts-bin. An all-wheel-drive system will be additionally fit in this new SUV. This AWD system will be the most advanced; a Haldex 5 based 4-Motion system that is commonly found in the Golf-R. When it comes to speed, this SUV will accelerate from 0-60 mph in 7.0 seconds and cruise up to a top speed of 130 mph.
Volkswagen T–Roc – Development and MSRP:
According to market speculations, the Volkswagen will make the official debut of the Volkswagen T–Roc at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. Although nothing has been heard about the release date, we should expect its release mid next year. On the price, it is estimated that the Volkswagen T–Roc could compare the prices of the T-Cross Breeze compact SUV, Touareg, and Tiguan SUV. Therefore, the new T-Roc’s manufacturer’s suggested retail price could range from $35,000 to $40,000. However, this is not official yet.
