The Subaru has worked tremendously to improve its current engine model to deliver more power and provide efficient performance, as compared to its previous models. This new 2018 Subaru Crosstrek will include a 2.0 liter inline 4 cylinders PZEV Boxed DOHC engine unit.
This unit can generate a max power output of 148 HP, along with 145 lb-ft torque. This complete setup will be coupled with an all-wheel drivetrain configuration, in addition to being mated with a 6-speed transmission module.
As far as its fuel economy is concerned, experts suggest that this unit estimates an EPA rating of 26 mpg in city drive, 33 mpg in highway drive, thus producing a combined rating of 28 mpg. These figures look pretty impressive as this model primarily competes in the compact SUV segment of automobiles.
2018 Subaru Crosstrek – Pricing and Release Date
This 2018 Crosstrek model was first designed to become available only in Japan. However, after seeing huge customer potential in the North America and Asia markets, the Subaru has opted for an international release of this model.
Since this Subaru Crosstrek model is still in production, its pricing details have not been released. Still, experts suggest that its base 2.0i model will be available for $22,600, while its highest trim variant can go for $30,000. The customers can expect all models to become available by late 2017 or early 2018.
