The newly 2017 Range Rover Sport will hit the dealerships at the beginning of 2017. We have some spy photos from the last testing at the Nürburgring and in the following review, we will try to present you this refreshed model as best as we can. At the first glance, but also according to some reliable rumors and official information, we can expect some minor tweaks from the outside. The cabin will provide some modifications, as well.
2017 Range Rover Sport – Body Update:
The exterior design of the upcoming 2017 Range Rover Sport will be very attractive and everything from the outside will be very stylish. The front fascia will be a bit changed and here we can notice recognizable front grille from Land Rover. It will be very thin and it will be connected with the headlights. The headlights will receive some minor modifications and it will be a bit thinner. When it comes to the technology, all the lighting on the vehicle will use the newest generation of LED system. Under the grille, the bumper is very massive and it will be fitted with the LED fog lights. Also, the air intakes are a bit different and they are now larger than before. That fact will certainly improve engine cooling and consequently overall performance of the vehicle.
The rear side will remain pretty much the same, and here we can see LED taillights as well as a muscular rear bumper. At the sides, this model will ride on elegantly designed aluminum wheels. We don’t know the exact size of the wheels at this point. Also, the entire chassis is made from lighter materials than before, in order to save some weight and to improve overall performance and fuel consumption.
The interior design of the recently developed 2017 Range Rover Sport SVR will be very elegant and spacious. Some slight redesigns are provided, but nothing too much notable. We can expect the addition of some new features. When it comes to comfort, all passengers will enjoy a high level of comfort and all seats inside will be wrapped in the high-quality leather. The cabin will be able of accommodating up to five passengers. Also, all seats are very adjustable and well shaped.
The dashboard on 2017 Range Rover Sport will hold the JLR’s new 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Also, the dash is slightly revised and now has cleaner look. Besides new infotainment system, the software will be new as well. Some of the other interior features will most likely include dual-zone climate control, leather wrapped steering wheel, adaptive cruise control, excellent audio system, a lot of options for connectivity as well as a lot of safety features.
2017 Range Rover Sport – Powertrain and Acceleration:
The latest SVR model will be powered by a 5.0-litre V8 engine. Compared to the previous model, we can expect some upgrades on the engine, With those upgrades, the engine will be capable of delivering up to 550 horsepower and 502 lb.ft of torque. The acceleration from 0-60 mph will be around 4.6 seconds which is great for sure. This engine will be mated to a paddle-shifted 8-speed automatic transmission system and the power will be routed to all wheels. EPA information is unfortunately still unavailable. The top speed is limited to 144 mph.
