The upcoming 2018 Peugeot 3008 is aimed at providing maximum comfort and decent performance. Awarded for the ‘Best car of the Year’ in 2010, the Peugeot has ever since aimed at transforming its new SUV 3008. The released in 2016, the 3008 has been nearing towards being one of the highest selling automobiles as of 2017. 2018 Peugeot 3008 – Boxier and Sportier
Breaking its typical MPV inspired design, the 2nd generation 2018 Peugeot 3008 has been revamped for a more crossover type looks. Apart from the major facelift and shinier grilles, the new 3008 is boxier and sportier in looks.

A 12.3-inch touchscreen is equipped which promises absolute entertainment during longer journeys. In addition to that, an 8-inch touchscreen is fitted with Apple CarPlay and Mirrorlink interactive systems for smartphone connectivity.

2018 Peugeot 3008 – Engine Specifications
Based on the original 3008’s MPV EMP2 platform, this new Peugeot has some noticeable changes in its engine specs. The Peugeot has installed 2 sets of engines for both petrol and diesel versions either with 6-speed manual/auto transmissions. A better mileage of 20 mpg combined is expected.
- 1.6 liters inline-4 petrol engine is expected to produce about 121/165 HP.
- The GT versions of the 3008 will feature 2.0 liters inline 4 producing 133/180 HP.
Apart from this a 2018 Peugeot 3008 Plug-in Hybrid is also rumored to be made. This will combine the existing fuel driven engine in the front with an electric engine at the rear. This AWD will work towards reducing fuel emissions.
2018 Peugeot 3008 – Competitors and Pricing
The 2018 Peugeot 3008 has a sportier look in the hatchback inspired SUV segments. Competing against the Nissan Qashqai, the 3008 is more appealing in terms of styling. In terms of quality, the Peugeot takes on Nissan with ease. The higher trims of 3008 feature more intuitive design in terms of infotainment. Although the 3008 is less powerful in terms of engine capacity and fuel economy, it has more acceleration and better handling and grip. The base model is expected at a price tag of $33,000 while it revs up to $43,350 for higher trims.
