2018 Peugeot 2008 – Exterior and Interior Changes
The 2018 Peugeot 2008 offers decent significant changes when it comes to looks. With newer improved grilles and extensive use of carbon fibers, the vehicle suspension is expected to improve. The Peugeot has worked on making the vehicle more streamlined as compared to the current version. Its air vents installed at the sides aim to control heating issues.
The Peugeot has installed new sets of chrome grilles to the 2008 model while the previous headlamps have been replaced with LED. This ensures better visibility and hence security to the passengers on board. However, the Peugeot lets the customer decide various trims of bodywork only with lesser hue options. The rugged 2008 has got a black body finish towards the rear with shinier roof scoops.

2018 Peugeot 2008 – Turbocharged Engine
Competing against other entry-level crossovers, the Peugeot is expected to install a 3 cylinder 1.2 liters turbocharged engine. It struggles to churn out 82 HP and 87 lb-ft of torque. The above is mated to a 6-speed auto transmission. In terms of acceleration, the 2018 Peugeot 2008 is expected to rev up from 0-60mph in 11.5 seconds. The second engine is a 1.6-liter diesel with 120 HP.
The Peugeot has also been working on a new petrol engine that is expected to create more acceleration and higher horses. The company is rumored to present a hybrid model of the 2008 version. This will supposedly feature a fuel engine with hydraulic motor pumps. It can also run on gas as well air with an improved epicyclical transmission system.
Compared to its competitors in this segment of crossovers, the 2018 Peugeot 2008 offers lesser performance and is a tad slower than its Chevy and Acura counterparts. However, it outperforms the Renault Captur in terms of fuel efficiency and carbon dioxide emissions. While Capture uses 1.6 liters diesel engine with stop/start technology, the Peugeot 2008 can provide a mileage of more than 66 mpg combined.
2018 Peugeot 2008 – Pricing and Expected Date of Release
While the 2018 Peugeot 2008 definitely does not match its higher competitors in terms of performance and comfort, it sure is a lovely ride for the family. Likewise, it’s priced at around $20,000 for the base model. For the top end models might go up to $30,000. This model will be available sometime in the 2018 year.
