The 2017 Nissan Xterra should hit the marketplaces at the beginning of 2017. However, the last information that we received is that the new Xterra will be discounted for the U.S dealerships. In the rest of the markets, we can most likely expect slightly updated Xterra model. Those updates will be visible in almost every segment of the car. The exterior will be a bit changed, and the interior will receive some new systems. Also, the engine capabilities will be upgraded. The Nissan expects improvements in sales, because as we know, the last year was pretty bad for them.
2017 Nissan Xterra – Exterior and Interior Changes:
The design language will be the same as before, but with some modified parts. At the front side of this model we can notice nicely designed, but pretty much the same front grille as in the current model. It will contain Nissan logo in the middle. The headlights, on the other hand, will receive some slight modifications. It will be a bit smaller than before. Also, the indicators are smaller.
The headlights will be powered with the latest LED technology. Also, the same system will power lights for fog and taillights. Down low, the bumper will be also improved, and it will be wider than before. Here we can see lights for fog with improved LED system, as well as air intakes for better engine cooling. In order to improve fuel economy rates, engineers will use some aluminum parts in chassis construction. Also, the wheels are made from an aluminum. Its size will be probably 18 inches.
The newly 2017 Nissan Xterra will receive updated infotainment system, and that will improve a level of entertainment. At the middle of the dash, we can notice 5.0-inch touchscreen display. Some of the other standard interior features will include dual zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, Bluetooth, USB connection, Sirius XM satellite radio, excellent audio system, a lot of safety features and many others as well.
2017 Nissan Xterra – Engine and Gearbox:
The recently developed model will be powered by a 4.0-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 engine. This engine will be capable of generating up to 261 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque. You can choose between front wheel drive type and all-wheel drive type. The models with FWD will be mated to a five-speed automatic gearbox. On the other hand, models with AWD will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission system. If you want better of road experience, you can choose a model with PRO-4X trim level. The EPA rates are currently unavailable, but we can certainly expect better consumptions than before.
