The German automakers are all set to roll out their new vehicle the 2018 Mercedes GLC. A 4×4 SUV, by all means, is borrowed its engine from Mercedes AMGs’ and style statement of a coupe leading to the creation of an engineering excellence. It is supposed to arrive in four variants- GLC300, GLC300 4Matic Coupe, AMG GLC43 and GLC350e.

2018 Mercedes GLC – Engine and EPA Rating
The 2.0 liters 4 cylinder turbocharged diesel engine provides a power output of 241 HP with a torque value of 273 lb-ft in the case of GLC300 and GLC300 4Matic Coupe. The junior AMG versions will be a 3.0-liter twin turbo engine producing 362 HP of power with 384 lb-ft of torque. Expect GLC to have a 9-speed automatic transmission with an acceleration of 0 to 60 mph in 6 seconds.
While the GLC300 is expected to have an EPA rating of 22/28 mpg in the city/highway, GLC300 4Matic will score around 22/27 in city and highways respectively. A hybrid model is also expected to have an EPA rating of 21 miles on full charge.
2018 Mercedes GLC – Competitors, Release Date and Price
The 2018 Mercedes GLC is expected to have a starting price of around $40,000. Expect it to hit dealerships during the winter of 2017 or early 2018.
