The new Kia Sorento has been redesigned to a strong, sleek and adaptive design. Featuring a luxurious SUV platform, the car will enter the auto market as 2017 Kia Sorento. The automaker is planning to offer five trim levels of this model. This includes the base L, LX, EX, SX, and SX- Limited trim levels.
2017 Kia Sorento – Colors and Design Changes:
The upcoming Kia Sorento model will be offered in nine exterior colors. These include Dark Cherry, Ebony Black, Platinum Graphite, Remington Red, Polished Walnut, Titanium Silver, Blaze Blue, Titanium Silver and Sparkling Silver. However, according to the spy photos taken during its road test, the car seems to adopt a larger and prettier body. The crisps and contemporary body lines will be maintained. The overall exterior styling for the 2017 Kia Sorento appears awesome, thanks to the LED headlights and grille elegant grille design. Higher trim levels including SX and SX-Limited models features dynamic bending lights.
The exterior body chassis is made from strength steel and lightweight aluminum materials. The lightweight chassis design enhances the car’s aerodynamic power and fuel economy. The car’s exterior profile appear sportier with the 19-inch chrome-finished alloy wheels. These will enhance its off-road performance. Other standard external features include redesigned front bumpers, revised rear bumper and LED indicators.
The new Sorento comes in a stylish and comfortable cabin with updated infotainment system. The dashboard has been upgraded with a new standard 7-inch infotainment system. Higher trim levels come with an 8-inch capacitive touchscreen interface. The spacious interior cabin features extended headroom and legroom to enhance comfort. There is also sufficient cargo space in the rear end. Consumers should expect a premium sound system with HD speakers, satellite radio, USB port interface, Bluetooth smartphone integration, CD/MP3/MP4 player among other features.
2017 Kia Sorento – Engine and Performance:
The base engine for the upcoming Kia Sorento is the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. This motor is capable of producing up to 185 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque for the base L and LX trim levels. Those who opt for the EX trim levels gets 2.0 liter inline-4 engine which produces 240 hp at 260 lb-ft of torque. The higher trim will have a 3.3-liter V6 motor that is capable of produce a 290 hp. The fuel consumption rating will be 21/25 mpg.
2017 Kia Sorento – MSRP and Availability Date:
Kia has not yet released the official release date and pricing for the 2017 Kia Sorento. However, consumers are anticipating that the model will enter the market at the end of this year or in the beginning of 2017. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price will be $25,400 for the base model. The higher trim levels will have a price of $45,700.
