It appears that rumors concerning the 2018 Jaguar E-Pace have been confirmed. Jaguar has been spotted testing a new small SUV, which is possibly the E-Pace. It seems that Jaguar wants to add some new crossovers, a larger version of the F-Pace. The leaked photos confirm that the car looks like the most recent 2017 Range Rover Sport, but as a matter of truth, it is the long term luxury compact crossover from Jaguar. Here is what we have on the Jaguar E-Pace, along with what we can reasonably expect.
2018 Jaguar E-Pace – Premium Style:
The Jaguar E-Pace will heavily rely on the design borrowed from the larger F-Pace model. The front view of the car features a similar grille, corner vents, headlights, and also air dams, with the main difference that almost everything is made in a smaller scope. In the new model, the body claddings are placed on the lower portion of facial with contrasting inserts in the corner vents parts. The 2018 Jaguar E-Pace model features some clean lenses that are used for daytime running lights. These lenses replace the orange ones from before. The hood is almost similar but has more pronounced lines than before.
The steering wheel, the console, and the dashboard should be roughly similar to what we can see on the Evoque or the F-Pace. The materials are not going to have a big contrast whereas the indoor space is most likely to be a bit smaller due to the smaller dimensions of the car. The entertainment like infotainment system with HD radio, Smartphone integration will be also present in newest model.
2018 Jaguar E-Pace – Under the Hood:
At this stage of development, it is hard and most impossible to know exactly what kind of electric engines and battery is going to find its way to the 2018 Jaguar E-Pace. Based on the underpinning, it might just transfer the Evoque’s engine. This means that the vehicle will feature the four-cylinder engine with an output level of 260 hp and a 270 pound-feet of torque. The car will also feature an automatic, 8-Spd w/Sequential Shift transmission.
2018 Jaguar E-Pace – MSRP, Release Date, and Competitions:
It is a bit too early to talk about pricing at this point but we expect it to cost slightly lower than its big brother, the F-Pace which costs from $35,00 to $40,000. As they’re labeling it a 2018 model, the vehicle might get a release date at the end of the next year or at the beginning of the 2018 season. The new model Jaguar E-Pace will also compete with the models like Mercedes-Benz GLC, Infiniti QX70, Alfa Romeo Stelvio, and Nissan Rogue.
