2018 Infiniti QX70 Review, Specs

The Nissan Company is gearing up for release the new model 2018 Infiniti QX70. Previously known as Infiniti FX until the year 2013, this vehicle first saw the light in 2003. After a facelift and two changes in generation, this vehicle was rebranded under the QX70 nameplate after which sales saw an upward trend. To keep up with the growing popularity and competition in North America’s current SUV market, the Nissan has planned this release hoping to keep up with other luxury SUVs like Nissan Murano, Audi Q7 and Mercedes ML.

The Infiniti QX Sport that was unveiled at Beijing Auto Show will be the primary inspiration for 2018 Infiniti QX70. This basically means that appearance wise this mid-size SUV will be both elegant and stylish. The slimmer LED headlights along with a larger grille on the front will make this vehicle have a unique combination of the minimalist as well as conventional design.

A roof spoiler on the 2018 Infiniti QX70 will be a new addition to the vehicles of QX family. The rear part of this luxury SUV has been elevated on purpose which will enable it to navigate through all kinds of terrain. 21-inch alloy wheels are the standard choice for this vehicle.


The 2018 Infiniti QX70 has also luxurious interior which gives an opulent feel to the car. Extra smooth leather comes with detailed stitchings in this vehicle’s cabin which makes it emanate sophistication. Same leather upholstery has been used for seats as well.

Engine Specs

The 2018 Infiniti QX70 will have a 3.7-litre V6 engine inside its hood. This V6 petrol engine will be producing around 325 HP of power and a torque of 267 lb-ft. No diesel engine is on Nissan’s plans as of now.

The current version of this vehicle comes with a seven-speed automatic transmission gearbox but the new QX70 will probably have a six-speed automatic for its base model and a seven-speed automatic for premium models. A manual version is unlikely. The fuel economy of the available engine is 19 mpg for cities and 25 on highways. The rear wheel drive is this vehicle’s standard choice while an all-wheel drive version will be available for premium models.

Release Date and Price

Put into production after its concept version was unveiled in China, the 2018 Infiniti QX70 has received good responses and will be out by the last quarter of 2017 and sales are ready to be in full flow by early 2018. The all-wheel drive variant will cost around $47,650 while rear-wheel drive will cost $45,850.
