Honda car manufacturer is yet to release the next generation of its popular Pilot SUV series. The manufacturer is well known for its luxurious and high-performance cars, especially the Honda Pilot model. The upcoming model is going to hit the market as 2017 Honda Pilot. This model will feature a sporty exterior appearance and classy interior design. Consumers should also expect a more powerful powertrain. Though the manufacturer is going to adopt few changes on this car model. This includes better features compared to its predecessor. The 2017 Pilot crossover is going to be offered in five trim levels, including the base LX, EX, EX-L, Elite and Touring trim levels.

The car features a big and blocky exterior design, which makes the new platform regarded as a revolutionary’ as far as Pilot series is concerned. The design is quite more traditional than the previous Honda Pilot. The Elite trim model features second-row captain seats hence reducing the seating capacity to seven. The model will be mated to either 6-speed automatic transmission or nine-speed automatic transmission for higher trim levels. The CVT transmission may also be offered for the 2017 Honda Pilot. Front wheel drive is going to be standard while All-wheel Drive (AWD) will be offered optionally for those who prefers added traction. This powertrain is capable of producing up to about 280 hp at 268 lb-ft of torque.

Honda has not yet confirmed the official release date and pricing for their new Pilot model. However, consumers are anticipating that the car will enter the auto market either at the end of next year. The 2017 Honda Pilot will be offered with manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $30,875. It is going to face competition from other upcoming top SUV car models including 2017 Toyota Highlander.
