The General motors Company is among the leading manufacturers of luxurious SUV cars. The manufacturer has revealed its plans of redesigning one of their top car models, GMC Yukon. Yukon was first released back in 1992 and has been recording impressive sale records throughout the four generations that it has existed. The current model was launched in back in 2014 and consumers have been anticipating for its upgrade. The 2017 GMC Yukon will feature exterior and interior redesigns as well as better engine options. There are four color options available for this full-size SUV. These include Dark Sapphire Blue Metallic, Mineral Metallic, White Frost Tricoat and Crimson Red Tintcoat. 2017 GMC Yukon is going retain its sporty exterior profile which appears more of a boxy crossover with masculine tone. The overall weight of the 2017 GMC Yukon has been reduced by the use of lightweight aluminum and carbon materials in the exterior chassis. Furthermore, at the front end, the vehicle adopts a redesigned front fascia with beautifully chromed bumpers, a new grille, better air intakes for engine cooling, daytime running LED headlights. 2017 GMC Yukon – Engine and EPA Rating:
Under the hood, there are two engine options that are likely to power the upcoming 2017 GMC Yukon. The base drivetrain is a 5.3-liter V8 diesel engine with 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. This motor will be mated to six-speed automatic transmission, which will send power to either a standard or automatic transmission. Those who prefer more power may opt for the 6.2 liters V8 gasoline motor, which is rated at 420 hp and 460 lb. ft. It will be mated to a standard 8-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy figures are rated at 16 mpg for city drives, 24 mpg on the highway and a combined EPA of 20 miles mpg. There is still no reliable details on the acceleration and top speed for the new Yukon model.

Finally, the upcoming 2017 Yukon will be released at the end of this year. The car will have manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $47,000 for the model with standard equipment.
