The latest 2017 GMC Terrain will be equipped with the standard 2.4-liter inline-4 engine (for all trims) that is capable of delivering 182 hp and 172 lb-ft of torque. This engine will be available with all wheel or front wheel drive type. The transmission system is 6-speed automatic transmission. According to EPA, the fuel economy with this engine is rated at 22/32 mpg with the FWD and 20/29 mpg with the AWD – city/highway.
The second engine available for SLT and SLE-2 trim is 3.6-liter V6 with a max output of 301 hp and 272 lb-ft of torque. EPA rates for this engine are 17/24 mpg with FWD and 16/23 mpg with AWD – city/highway.

The GMC Terrain 2017 will have a starting manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $31,500 (SLT), $28,000 (SLE-1) and $29,200 (SLE-2). Its release date is expected for next year.
