The new model 2018 Ford Kuga is getting a makeover to stay competitive. It is a mid-size SUV which gives a fair competition to its rivals in this hot segment. Beneath the Bonnet, the new 2018 Ford Kuga will come up with two powerful Eco boost engines. The base model will be fitted with 1.6 liters turbocharged four-cylinder Eco boost engine which will deliver 147 horsepower and torque of 177-lb ft. The higher version will have a more powerful 1.8 liter turbocharged four-cylinder Eco boost engine with capabilities of delivering 180 horsepower. However, the top-rated speed is 116 mph and it takes 10 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph. In terms of performance, the fuel economy for both engines is great. As per EPA ratings, the first one runs for 23 miles per gallon and other slightly better at 30 miles per gallon. The 2018 Ford Kuga will also come with either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission gearbox in both front wheel and all-wheel drive.

For those thinking to buy Ford Kuga should wait for 2018 model. Starting prices for 2018 Ford Kuga for the base model are expected to cost around 28,000 dollars and may go higher for upper trim versions. The release date will be in the first half of 2018.
