2019 Audi Q8 First Look

Audi is currently working on a new flagship SUV known as the 2019 Audi Q8. Our reliable insiders have issued us with some detailed snapshots that showcase whatever is in store for us. These images reveal that the Audi Q8 brings a unique interior design.

Worth noting, the previous crossover highlighted a rudimentary climate control panel and infotainment screen. This time, all these parts are integrated together into the dash. The face of the dashboard comes in gloss black, and slim air-conditioning vents are evident above the trim. The design of the upcoming Q8 follows the entire form of the A4 sedan.

2019 Audi Q8 – Gorgeous Design

The 2019 Audi Q8 shows a lot of details that mirror the concept version revealed earlier this year. Even the headlight region looks similar to that concept. But, on a closer look, we can see a different panel seated just beneath the lights.

In the concept shown earlier, the supposed panel served as extra air intakes on either side. Seemingly, this hints that the signature Single Frame grille will get a somewhat thicker edge as compared to its more upright sibling that is the Q7. Although the sides are wrapped in the swirl pattern, we get to see some revealing cues at the rear.

For starters, no covers are evident on the taillights hence giving us a clear view of the LED signature. Another detail that pops up is a recessed panel that gives this crossover a slightly chiseled look. Creases are similarly evident on either corner of the bumper, while concealed exhaust tips suggest the possibility of a TDI model.

We get to view some beautiful interior shots as the 2019 Audi Q8 had its doors wide open when it was snapped. As you would probably expect, its interior region is very well appointed. The overall design and layout of the dash reflect the A8 version. In these pictures, the dash reveals dual touch panels—one for infotainment and the other for climate control.

2019 Audi Q8 – Powertrain and Gearbox

The 2019 Audi Q8 carries an array of cutting-edge powertrain choices under the hood. All of the engines come mated to a ZF-sourced 8-speed automatic gearbox, which sends power to all the four wheels. Expect to find a variety of diesel and gasoline V6 and V8 motors, plus there’s the likelihood of a V-8 TDI and electric turbocharging.

Rumor has it that Audi is likely to launch a Q8 e-Tron Quattro, which gets powered by a V6 TDI as well as an electric engine. The electric motor is powered by a rear-mounted 17.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that can provide just over 37 miles of pure electric range.

Apparently, the incoming Audi V-8 gasoline motors are part of the latest VW Group engine family developed under the watch of Porsche. Nevertheless, the only alteration is that they are all mated to different transmissions. That fact has led to numerous reports overseas claiming that the next Audi Q8 would come fitted with Porsche engines.
