Since its launch in 2011, the Audi Q3 has been one of the best car choices for people who crave for luxury and comfort. The compact crossover SUV has an attractive exterior and a well-designed interior that gives all occupants exceptional comfort and convenience. The German automobile manufacturer is planning to release the 2017 Audi Q3 which will come with more advanced features than the outgoing model.
2017 Audi Q3 – Exterior and Interior Redesign:
The upcoming car will be built on the Audi Quattro platform. With this platform, the car will get a body made of aluminum alloys and carbon fibers making it lighter than its predecessor. This is expected to improve speed and fuel efficiency. The entire exterior will look sportier and sturdier.
The front end of the 2017 Audi Q3 has a slightly modified grille with the company’s logo on it. The headlamps and bumper will also be modified, with the lights getting the LED technology and the bumper getting built-in fog lights. In the rear end, there is a modern tailgate, sleeker LED taillights, a refreshed bumper and a new exhaust system. Other notable exterior highlights are 21-inch alloy wheels and a coupe-like roofline.
Like other Audi cars, the interior will be characterized by classic detailing, soft touch surfaces and roomy cabin. The seats will have all sorts of comfort features such as leather covers, heating & cooling system, adjust and recline mechanisms. The steering wheel will be covered with a material that provides better grip. Space will be enough for all passengers and some cargo. In addition, the new Q3 will have a very functional infotainment system consisting of a wider display screen and compatible with Bluetooth and USB. Other technological features include temperature regulating system, premium audio system, and satellite navigation system.
The new 2017 Audi Q3 will be fitted with the following protection features: seat belts, anti-lock brake system, blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, collision warning system, airbags, parking assist, tire-pressure monitoring system, adaptive cruise control, security alarms and the rearview camera.
2017 Audi Q3 – Engine and Fuel Economy:
The new Q3 will be powered by a 2.0-liter I4 engine which can produce 200 hp and 207 lb-ft. The powertrains will be paired with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic transmission system.
The new model will be taking 7.8 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph. The top speed is estimated at 126 mph. Using the 2.0-liter engine, the new Audi car will have a fuel consumption of 20 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. The CO2 emission rates will be lower compared to the outgoing model.
2017 Audi Q3 – MSRP, Release Date, and Rivals:
The base model will have a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $34,500. The car will become available to customers in late 2016. Markets that are far away from the country of production will start selling the car in early 2017.
